Most families are entitled to help with the cost of childcare.

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare workplace vouchers enable a parent or guardian to take part of their salary in the form of a childcare voucher, saving on National Insurance and Income Tax contributions on that part of their salary.

At Hillcrest we currently accept Accor, Busy Bees and Care4, but we are quite happy to accept any vouchers and they are becoming more widely available. 

You will need to talk to your employer to see if they are using, or are prepared to sign up for a Voucher Scheme.  Both working parents can claim.

TAX Credits

Tax Credits are available in two forms, Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.

You are likely to qualify for some tax credit if you have children and your income (joint income for couples) is less than £58,000 per year or £66,000 if you have a child under one year old.

The childcare element can help with up to 70% of eligible childcare costs.

Nursery Grants for 3 and 4 year olds

Currently all 3 and 4 year olds are able to benefit from a free part-time nursery education place. 

The grant covers five 2.5 hour sessions per week for 38 weeks of the year.

The grant is claimed by and paid directly to the Nursery via the Local Authority.

 

 

 

Admission

We are open all year, Monday to Friday, except for Bank Holidays and a few days between Christmas and New Year.

The morning session runs from 8.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. 
The afternoon session runs from 1.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Children may also extend a session to include lunch for which an extra charge is made. We aim to be as flexible as possible in terms of sessions offered, our only requirement being that a child attends for at least two sessions per week.

Fees include a healthy mid-session snack and children attending full days are given a healthy two-course lunch prepared on the premises with fresh, whole foods.
